Trinity XIX
A Solemn Mass will be sung for the Nineteenth Sunday after Trinity on Sunday 11 October at 10:30am.
The prayers of this Sunday remind us that without God we are unable to please Him. The Church therefore asks for the gift of the Holy Spirit, that our hearts may be directed and ruled in all things according to the will of God.
All the faithful are warmly invited to assist at this Solemn Mass, said according to Divine Worship: The Missal (Ordinariate Use).
Music list:
Setting: Charles Stanford – Communion Service in D
Psalm: 141
Anthem: Charles Wood – O thou the central orb
Hymns:
Soldiers of Christ, arise (NEH, 449);
Jesu, my Lord, my God, my All (NEH, 384);
Lead, kindly Light, amid the encircling gloom (NEH, 392)
Collect:
O GOD, forasmuch as without thee we are not able to please thee: mercifully grant that thy Holy Spirit may in all things direct and rule our hearts; through Jesus Christ thy Son our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the same Holy Spirit, ever one God, world without end. Amen.
