Church of Our Lady of the Assumption & St Gregory
Warwick Street
Dedicated to the Life of the Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham.
A Solemn Mass will be sung for the Fourth Sunday of Advent on Sunday 21 December at 10.30am.
As Advent draws toward its fulfilment, Holy Church turns her gaze to the mystery of the Annunciation and the faithful obedience of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In these final days of expectation, we prepare to receive the Word made flesh, who comes to dwell among us in humility and glory.
Introit: Judith Weir – Drop down, ye heavens, from above
Setting: Hans Leo Hassler – Missa Dixit Maria (K, Ag)
Gradual: James MacMillan – O radiant dawn
Creed: Shaw
Anthem: Andrew Carter – Angelus ad virginem
Hymns:
The Lord whom earth and sea and sky (NEH, 181b)
Lo! he comes with clouds descending (NEH, 9)
Hail, O Star that pointest (NEH, 180)
RAISE up, we beseech thee, O Lord, thy power, and come among us, and with great might succour us: that whereas, through our sins and wickedness, we are sorely hindered in running the race that is set before us, thy bountiful grace and mercy may speedily help and deliver us; who livest and reignest with the Father, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, ever one God, world without end. Amen.
