Warwick Street Parish & Anglican Traditions

At Easter 2013 Warwick Street Parish was dedicated by Cardinal Vincent Nichols to the life of the Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham as its main church in the UK. The Ordinariate was established by Pope Benedict XVI in 201l to allow Anglicans to enter into the full communion of the Catholic Church while retaining elements of Anglican heritage. On Palm Sunday Mgr. Keith Newton, the former Ordinary of the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham, celebrated Mass. Once again this historic church began to play a role in the national life of the Catholic Church in England and Wales.
