DESCRIPTION:A Solemn Mass will be sung for the Ascension of the Lord on Thursday 14 May at 6:30pm. A said lunchtime Mass will also be celebrated at 12:45pm. \nIn the mystery of the Ascension\, the Church rejoices in Christ’s triumph and exaltation at the right hand of the Father. Ascending into the heavens\, the Lord does not abandon His people\, but draws the hearts and minds of the faithful towards the heavenly kingdom\, where He reigns in glory and continually intercedes for us. \nThe Ascension of the Lord is a Holy Day of Obligation\, on which the faithful are obliged to participate in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. DESCRIPTION:A Solemn Mass will be sung on Friday 1 May at 6:30pm in celebration of the Feast of Our Lady\, Protectress of Bavaria (Patrona Bavariae). \nThis title of the Blessed Virgin has long been honoured throughout Bavaria\, where the faithful commend themselves to her maternal protection and intercession. \nThe observance is especially fitting at Warwick Street\, which in the eighteenth century served as the chapel of the Bavarian Embassy to the Court of St James’s\, when the church was one of the few places in London where the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass could be publicly offered. \nOn this day we give thanks for the Bavarian community which formed an integral part of the church’s early history and for the Catholic witness preserved here in those years. \nAll the faithful are warmly invited to assist at this Solemn Mass\, celebrated according to Divine Worship: The Missal (Ordinariate Use).
