Titular Solemnity of Our Lady of Walsingham
A Solemn Mass will be sung for the transferred Solemnity of Our Lady of Walsingham on Sunday 27 September at 10:30am.
On this day we honour the Blessed Virgin Mary under her title of Our Lady of Walsingham, Patroness of the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham. Recalling the mystery of the Word made flesh and the Holy House at Nazareth, the Church prays that we too may become worthy dwelling places for the presence of God.
This Mass for this Titular Solemnity will also be the final Sunday Mass celebrated by the Rev. Fr Mark Elliott-Smith as Rector of Our Lady of the Assumption and St Gregory, as he prepares to retire. We give thanks to Almighty God for his faithful ministry and service to the parish and the Ordinariate, and assure him of our prayers and good wishes for his retirement.
All the faithful are warmly invited to assist at this Solemn Mass, said according to Divine Worship: The Missal (Ordinariate Use).

O GOD, who, through the mystery of the Word made flesh, didst in thy mercy sanctify the house of the Blessed Virgin Mary: do thou grant that we may keep aloof from the tabernacle of sinners, and become worthy indwellers of thy house; through Jesus Christ thy Son our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, ever one God, world without end. Amen.
