Trinity XVI

20 September @ 10:30 am - 11:45 am BST

A Solemn Mass will be sung for the Sixteenth Sunday after Trinity on Sunday 20 September at 10:30am.

The liturgy for this Sunday places the Church wholly in the keeping of God, whose continual pity alone can cleanse and defend her. Conscious that we cannot continue in safety without His succour, we pray to be preserved evermore by His help and goodness.

All the faithful are warmly invited to assist at this Solemn Mass, said according to Divine Worship: The Missal (Ordinariate Use).

Music list:
Setting: Joseph Haydn – Little Organ Mass
Psalm: 102
Anthem: Adrian Batten – Sing Joyfully
Motet: Richard Judson – God be in my head
Hymns: Come, ye faithful, raise the anthem (NEH, 351); Dear Lord and Father of mankind (NEH, 353); Praise to the Holiest in the height (NEH, 439)

Collect
O LORD, we beseech thee, let thy continual pity cleanse and defend thy Church: and, because she cannot continue in safety without thy succour, preserve her evermore by thy help and goodness; through Jesus Christ thy Son our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, ever one God, world without end. Amen.
